• Lawrence – Seven members in the family, oldest brother and three sisters. Only he and the youngest sister are unmarried. NT member, full-time worker. Father: field worker. Mother: died. Worked as a supervisor in a spinning mill for two years and in a private courier company for one year. Has been working in an insurance company for the last three years, dealing with life insurances. Dream: to develop awareness among young people in grassroots groups about their reality and to help them to take action.
• Kumar – National treasurer, previously working as a painter, in YCW for 9 years. Was a part-timer, a full-timer and is now in his second term as a treasurer. Father: coolie. Has three brothers and two sisters. Just got married on June 28th. Dream: commit himself for his Dalit community.
• Felix – Two brothers and one sister. One brother is working as a plumber, the other one as a printer, sister studied master’s degree, mother working. Worked as a construction worker, studied electronics and communication engineering. Joined the YCW in 1998 and since 2000 he has been a district team member, 2003 district secretary, 2004 full-timer, 2005 national secretary, unemployment campaign leader. Dream: work with child labour. Still searching for a partner.
• Regila – Nine in the family, three brothers and three sisters, father and mother. Joined the YCW in 2003. Diploma in cooperative management. Computer application. Working as a tailor. District treasurer in Camamila region. Dream: no dream at the moment.
• Josephine – Three sisters, member in YCW for 4 years, also working as a tailor. Father: watchman (security guard). District secretary in Tuticorin and national team member. Dream: she wants to become a good tailor.
• Alexander – National president and part of the team in Nalloor district in Trichy. Joined the YCW in 1998. In his first term NT and now national president. Worked as a fieldworker, construction worker, roofer. Studied Master of Arts and then Master of Philosophy, diploma in agriculture. Father and mother: coolies in agriculture. Two older brothers, already married, and one younger brother, two older sisters and one younger sister. Dreams: would like to be a teacher at university and to find a wife.
• Patrick – international treasurer.
• Robert Vins – One brother and two sisters, working as a lorry driver. One of his sisters is working in a factory, his mother is a street vendor in the informal economy. Worked as a loading and unloading worker and in the construction, and as a rickshaw driver. Joined the YCW 7 years ago in 2000. National Team (NT) member and extension worker in two districts, Tuticorin and Madurai, since 2005 NT. Dream: stand with the grassroots workers and struggle with them. No plan to get married.

• Tamil Kavi – Finished his secondary school. 5 members in the family. Central security officer in tourism area. Mother: housewife. Two sisters. Two-year experience in the YCW. Working as a secretary in Madurai district. Worked in a metal company in the moulding department. Dream: to become a police officer.
